Emily Theriault is a Real Estate Broker with Portside Real Estate Group in Belgrade Lakes, specializing in residential and waterfront properties. A lifelong Mainer raised in central Maine, Emily grew up spending summers at her family’s camp, where she developed a deep appreciation for lake life and the unique value of Maine’s waterfront communities. This early experience shaped her passion for helping clients find their own place on the water.

Today, Emily and her family continue that tradition at their own camp on Cobbosseecontee Lake. Her personal connection to lake living enhances her professional perspective—allowing her to guide clients with firsthand knowledge of shoreline ownership, lake stewardship, and the lifestyle and responsibilities that come with living on the water.

Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in Health and Wellness and a graduate degree in Health Administration. Her education fostered strong communication, systems-thinking, and problem-solving skills, which she applies every day to guide clients through complex real estate decisions with care, clarity, and professionalism.

In January 2025, she was honored to receive the Kennebec Valley Chamber’s Cynergy Emerging Professional Award. She has also completed several respected leadership programs, including Maine Development Foundation’s Leadership Maine (2024), the Hanley Health Leadership Development Program (2023), and the Kennebec Leadership Institute (2022).

Emily is committed to her community and serves on the City of Augusta Planning Board and the Augusta Food Bank Board. She is also an Olympia Snowe Leadership Institute Advisor, helping high school girls grow confidence and leadership skills. From an environmental lens, Emily is an active member of the Cobbossee Lake Association, where she engages in lake health initiatives that support responsible recreational use, clean water, and long-term watershed stewardship.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and taking part in just about any outdoor pursuit. She is a licensed whitewater rafting guide who appreciates Maine’s rivers and wilderness places. Emily lives in Augusta with her husband, Shon; her two bonus children, Avery and Lance; and their Vizsla, Piper.
